These seven steps were originally formulated by the green flag association to give schools a guideline on creating this environmental management system.
The first step is forming a Green-School Committee this committee decides how to achieve these goals and keep their environment clean.
Next an environmental review is made, this helps us outline the problems in the environment and how impactful we are.
An action plan is made where we break down the overall goal into smaller tasks that help in the grand scheme, people are given responsibilities, a time frame for actions is created too.
Curriculum Work is the next step, this involves integrating the system to our school, be that through science or civic classes. We have already set up an environment class for fourth years, we hope that this class will be helpful to integrate students.
It's important to involve the whole school in the program, any work done should be available for students to see on notice boards, newsletters, assemblies and on this website.
The Green Code is a code developed by students for the school. It should be a demonstration of the school's commitment to environmentally friendly actions.
